Community Members Set Priorities for Tackling Childhood Obesity at A Summit for the Health of Our Children
Over 1000 members of our community from families, education, healthcare, child care and wellness came out to the J. E. Broyhill Civic Center on Saturday, October 18 to take part in A Summit for the Health of Our Children. Organized by Caldwell Memorial Hospital and our community partners, the event kicked off a five-year campaign to lower Caldwell County's childhood overweight and obesity rate by almost 5 percentage points by 2013. read more |

Dr. Nichols Wins National Outstanding Performance Award
Caldwell Memorial Hospital congratulates Dr. George Nichols for receiving the Cancer Liaison Physician Outstanding Performance Award from the Commission on Cancer. In a letter to Dr. Nichols, Committee on Cancer Liaison Chairman Jon M. Greif, DO, FACS, wrote that Nichols was nominated because he ”exhibited outstanding leadership and guidance as a physician champion in (Caldwell Memorial Hospital’s) cancer program”.
